Comparison

Handitrax against the names you already know

Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan are good products with a decade of work in them. Here is the honest shape of the difference — in their published numbers and ours.

The bill, by the size of your crew

Almost every field-service platform bills by the user, the seat or the truck. That is not an oversight — it is the business model, and it means the software gets more expensive precisely when you succeed. Handitrax charges one flat monthly price with unlimited users and scales by the FEATURES a bigger shop needs instead.

Monthly price. Each competitor bar is their cheapest plan combination at that crew size, from their own published pricing. Ours is the plan a shop that size usually picks — the price is set by the plan you choose, never by how many people log in.

From 3 people on, Handitrax is cheaper than either of them, and the gap widens with every hire after. It widens because their number has a multiplier in it and ours does not.

Method, so you can check it: plan prices and per-additional-user rates read from each vendor's own pricing page on 2026-09-23. Jobber publishes $29 per additional user; Housecall Pro publishes $35. We apply each vendor's published rate to whichever of their plans is cheapest at that crew size. The combination is our arithmetic on their published numbers — it is not a quote from them, and their pricing can change without telling us.

The number that is not on the pricing page

Jobber and Housecall Pro do not charge a setup fee, and neither do we. ServiceTitan does not publish a price at all — it is quote-only. We are not going to characterise what your quote from them would contain, because we have not seen it. Ask them for the full first-year cost in writing, including any one-off charges, and compare that number with the one on this page.

None of that is a criticism. Set-up work on a large system is real work and can be money well spent. It is simply a number you should see before you sign, not after.

The payments question nobody puts on a comparison page

Several platforms in this category earn a margin on card processing as well as subscription. It is rarely the headline, and over a year on real invoice volume it can cost more than the software does.

Handitrax connects to your own Stripe account. Stripe bills you their rate directly and we take 0% of your transactions. We would rather be paid for the software than for your revenue.

Worth doing for any vendor you are considering: ask what their processing rate is, and compare it with what you could get directly.

On Spanish — where we will not overclaim

All three of those platforms ship a Spanish technician app, and ServiceTitan in particular has invested heavily here. Anyone telling you they are the only bilingual option in this category is hoping you will not check.

The real difference is reach and price. Ours runs through the whole platform rather than the field app — the office, the customer portal, the quote and the invoice — so a Spanish-speaking customer reads their own documents in Spanish. And it is on the smallest plan, where the competition's deepest bilingual tooling sits in the tier built for ten-truck shops.
